Course Description

This digital course, called Supporting Neurodiverse Learners, will assist you in gaining valuable insights about neurodivergent learners and taking an asset-based approach to teaching and learning. You’ll leave this course with practical techniques to enhance your teaching practice and foster a more inclusive classroom.

Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of this digital course, you will be able to:

  • Recognize a variety of characteristics of neurodivergent students.
  • Apply an asset-based perspective of neurodiversity to teaching.
  • Identify and plan for classroom strategies to support neurodivergent students.

Expectations

This digital course consists of 4 lessons, which altogether should take approximately 60 - 90 minutes to complete. Additional resources to explore are provided at the end of each lesson. Each lesson culminates in a knowledge check activity to confirm what you have learned and to enable you to move on to the next lesson.
