Course Description
This digital course, called Aligning Learning Outcomes and Assessments , will help you understand the importance of checking and adjusting the alignment of your learning outcomes, assessments, and learning activities, and offers an introduction to a Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Course Alignment tool developed by the Educational Effectiveness team at the University of Maryland. By the end, you will reflect on the overall design of your course, gather key instructional materials, and leverage the GenAI Course Alignment tool to evaluate the alignment between your learning outcomes, assessments, and activities to improve student learning.

By the end of this digital course, you will be able to:

- Articulate the benefits and challenges of using the GenAI Course Alignment tool.

Expectations
This digital course consists of 3 lessons and one required consultation, which altogether should take approximately 90-120 minutes to complete. Additional resources or tips for further exploration are provided at the end of each lesson. Two lessons culminate in a knowledge check to confirm what you have learned and to enable you to move on to the next lesson.
