Course Description

This digital course called Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Teaching will provide basic information you need to help you think through how new tools like ChatGPT, Bing AI, DALL-E, and others will affect your teaching. After learning some basics about how these tools work, you'll be given the opportunity to think through ways to incorporate and/or deter AI in your assignments and activities.

By the end of this digital course, you will be able to:

  • Explain generally how AI-based technology works.
  • Analyze the benefits and risks of using different AI-based tools in your classes.
  • Begin planning for how you will incorporate and/or deter AI-based tools in your classes.

Expectations

This digital course consists of 3 lessons, which altogether will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
